Teen Classes
TRAINING SAFE, CONFIDENT DRIVERS, FOR LIFE
We have classes offered both online and or in person
subject to DOL RULE changes and locations
At Safe2go, students come first! We believe that every student has the right to learn in a positive and safe environment in which every student feels respected and connected with their teachers. We know different students respond better to different styles of teaching. We have developed a strong curriculum that addresses the needs of all types of learners: hands on, visual, auditory and more. We understand that teens are still developing their sense of personal responsibility so we work with them to help them think through the consequences of the choices they will make as drivers.
The Teen Drivers Safety Education Course will teach students important topics such as:
- The Foundations of Safe Driving
- Defensive Driving Skills
- Sharing the roads with others
- Safe Driving Techniques
- Space Management System
- Reference Points
- Rules of the Road
- Adverse Driving Conditions and Emergencies (special in class addition for the last 15 minutes of each class session)
- Roadway Conditions
- Distracted Driving
- Effects of Fatigue and Emotions while driving
- State Drivers Test Preparation
Along with classroom theory and instruction, the students will participate in hands-on driving time with Safe2Go Driving School instructors who are highly skilled and trained professionals. Students will practice defensive driving skills on local road and highway driving, along with road and safety techniques essential to successful driving along with the skills required to pass the State dol driver’s test. If you feel you want to get additional behind-the-wheel training for any reason, simply call the office about Scheduling extra time.
Note: Pre-Register online through D.O.L License Express for your WDL number which is required before the first day of class, you can do this online at Dol.wa.gov. If you already have a Washington State ID card or permit you can skip this step but you still need to provide us with the WDL number prior to getting your permit.
Once you preregister you will be given a WDL # (Washington drivers license). Make sure you print or write this confirmation number down. Please send to Safe2Go Driving School as it will be required before you can get your permit.
