Mayra-Guerra Magana

Administrative Coordinator

Mayra has been with Safe2Go for a little over 2 years, she is our main administrative customer service representative. She has had many years in the administrative and customer service field prior to being with Safe2Go. She is accomplished in both English and Spanish her Bilingual skills have assisted staff and made many happy customers.

Mayra and her family (Husband and her 5 kids) are locals to Monroe. Mayra loves her community in which she devotes her time volunteering her services and is an avid supporter of Relay for Life.  In her spare time she enjoys cooking, hiking, crafting, painting and spending time with family and friends.

Astrid Perez

 Driving Instructor/dol examiner

Astrid has been teaching for over 20 years and has her degree from University of Washington doctor of philosophy. When she isn’t teaching she spends her time with family and loves to cook.  She believes in health and fitness so enjoys her daily exercise routines and is very spiritual.  She also enjoys portrait painting as a hobby when time allows. Astrid works mainly at our Everett/Mill Creek and Monroe High School locations.

Lara Erickson

Driving Instructor

We are happy to welcome Lara Erickson to our Safe2Go Family. Lara came to Monroe for a visit in 1999 and loved it so much she never left. Monroe is her home and she loves being a part of our community.  She is devoted to help ensure the Safety and well being of the Teens as a Safety Driving Instructor. Lara enjoys teaching and helping them understand how to be safe and successful, confident drivers.  Lara is currently working at our Monroe High school location.

She has a husband of 20 years, 4 wonderful kids and step daughter and one grand daughter. Lara's enjoyment is spending time with her family and you can find her with her kids in what ever sport they are in at the time, while practicing her hobby of photography.

Sam Kuyper


Sam has been an educator for 16 years working with students of all ages.  He spent 10 years in Japan as an English teacher and currently teaches Japanese at Redmond High School.  Sam’s grandfather was a driving instructor and when Sam returned from Japan he decided to follow in his footsteps.  He has been teaching driver’s education for 9 years and has been with Safe2Go since the inception of the school itself.  He enjoys working with teen drivers, teaching them all of the skills they need to be safe on the road.  When he’s not working, Sam enjoys reading Japanese novels and spending time in the woods with his twin sons, Tom and Joe.  Sam currently works out of our Monroe and Silver Lake schools.

Susan Chadwick

Driving Instructor/master examiner

Susan is semi-retired and is looking forward to spending more time with her four children of and one granddaughter.  Susan previously worked for the school district as a bus driver for 10 years before becoming a Student Driving Instructor and dol certified examiner. She also designs and produces her own jewelry for enjoyment. Susan works at our Sultan High School location.


Driving Instructor

Yvette is originally from Wisconsin, but has also lived in Minnesota and California. She served four years in the U.S Navy as an Aviation Ordnance man. For part of her active duty term she was stationed in Bremerton and Everett. This allowed her to fall in love with the Pacific Northwest and she officially made this her new home state. She has a double major in Community Psychology and Global Studies from the University of Washington. She has a passion for traveling, human rights and social justice and with that comes a perspective of open mindedness, which she fully exalts in her teaching style in accordance to her student’s needs. Most of her free time is spent hiking with her dogs or volunteering within Snohomish County, particularly with the young adult population. She is currently volunteering as a Life Skills Coach with Friends of Youth. Her work, passions and free time are all devoted to enriching the lives of others.
